Our 2005 Spring Hammer-In this year was interesting. We had Susan Madacsi, from Connecticut, as our demonstrator, and we started the ABANA Conference planning.

The work of our demonstrator, Susan Madacsi, has been very visible in the 4 short years she has lived in our area. She produces decorative objects that are functional and her work is accomplished and unique.

Susan demonstrated a large variety of work for us. Some of what she demonstrated was leaves, flowers and branches; cutting patterns for forms; developing veins in leaves; simple joinery of elements, riveting and welding, blending welds; a forged butterfly; forging vessels from plate and pipe; finishes, including gold and silver leafing.
